Introduction to Computers

This course is designed for people who have little or no experience using the computer. Participants will learn basic skills such as: how a computer works, keyboarding, basic word processing (write a letter, etc.), communicating via e-mail, and using the Internet.

Intermediate Computers (Next Steps)

This course is called “Next Steps” because it picks up where the introductory course ends. Intermediate classes offer in-depth lessons that include: using MS Word to create a detailed resume, designing charts/graphs with Excel, creating a PowerPoint presentation, and designing a web site using HTML (HyperText Markup Language). In addition, to accommodate the needs of all students, independent study projects are created for the more advanced computer users.

Special Computer Class: Photoshop

Working with digital photographs is increasingly popular as the number of people who use digital cameras increases. This special four-week session introduces the program Adobe Photoshop to students so they can understand how to manage, manipulate, and publish photos on paper and the web.
