Directions to Harvard's Center for Workplace Development (CWD)

CWD is located on the third floor of 124 Mount Auburn Street (also known as the University Place building), which is just a short walk from the Harvard Square T station. Take the elevators on the north side (Mount Auburn Street side) of the building to the third floor and enter the suite to the right. View Map.

From the Harvard Longwood Campus
Employees of Harvard Medical School or the Harvard School of Public Health should consult their human resources office on the best method of transportation to Cambridge for New Employee Orientation. The M2 Shuttle runs a regular schedule between the Harvard Longwood Campus and Harvard Square.

Walking Directions
From Harvard Square, walk down John F. Kennedy Street and turn right onto Mount Auburn Street. The building is on the left side of the street directly across from the Harvard Square Post Office. After you enter the building, take the elevators located to the right in the lobby to the third floor. Take a right off the elevators and enter CWD through the double set of doors. Please check in at the reception desk.

Parking
If you cannot take the T and must drive, parking is available under 124 Mount Auburn Street in the University Place garage. CWD can only be accessed via the north bank of elevators. If you park on the south side of the garage please take the elevators to the first floor and walk down the hallway to the north bank of elevators. Please note this is not a Harvard University parking garage, so fees will apply. Call 617-491-0801 for rates. Parking is also available for a fee across the street from 124 Mount Auburn Street at the Charles Hotel garage.

Driving Directions

• From North or South: Take Route I-93 to the Storrow Drive exit, following signs for Cambridge. Exit at Harvard Square; turn right onto John F. Kennedy Street and cross the river and Memorial Drive. Turn left onto Eliot Street, left again onto Bennett Street, continue past the Charles Hotel on your left and turn left onto University Road; the entrance to the University Place parking garage will be immediately on your right.
• From West: Take Massachusetts Turnpike to exit at Allston tolls. Follow signs to Cambridge, and enter Storrow Drive West (toward Newton). Leave Storrow Drive at the first exit (Harvard Square), turn right onto John F. Kennedy Street and cross the river and Memorial Drive. Turn left onto Eliot Street, left again onto Bennett Street, continue past the Charles Hotel on your left and turn left onto University Road; the entrance to the University Place parking garage will be immediately on your right.
