Get great deals @ great places with your Harvard ID

Getting to work? Getting a home? Just getting out on Sunday afternoon with the kids? A Harvard ID is your ticket.

With a Harvard ID, an employee and a guest visit any of Harvard’s 10 museums, with collections ranging from 20th-century art to glass flowers to historical scientific instruments. Many of these museums have special activities for parents and kids. A Harvard ID also provides access to the largest university library system in the world.

Harvard can help with your commute, with its 40 percent discount on Boston-area MBTA public transit passes, and 50 percent discount on combo passes. Parking at the University is limited but available, and Harvard can furnish information on carpooling and vanpooling, along with trip-planning services for new employees. Harvard also offers substantial group discounts on automobile insurance through the University’s agreement with Marsh @WorkSolutions.

Employees can locate housing with a Harvard ID, through the Harvard Housing Office’s listings of homes for rent and sale. For further assistance, employees can also check out:

  • The Real Estate Assistance Program
  • Home mortgage financing preferred vendor program
  • Harvard University Employees Credit Union, which offers mortgages, home equity loans, car loans, personal loans as well as savings accounts and IRAs
  • Group rates on homeowners, condo and rental insurance through Marsh @WorkSolutions
Outings & Innings (O & I), Harvard’s window to culture and recreation in the greater Boston area, guides Harvard employees and retirees to countless other discounts the University has negotiated with local vendors. The program provides a range of discounted tickets to events of all kinds in all seasons, including concerts, plays, movies, boating trips, museums, ski slopes and amusement parks, not to mention tickets to the most coveted show of all – Boston Red Sox games. Online ticket ordering is available on O & I's full-service site.
