About the program:
Fall is here, and so is flu season. Dr. Soheyla Gharib will discuss H1N1 influenza, including special concerns affecting women, children and other high-risk individuals. She will also discuss preventative measures such as vaccinations as we prepare for this next wave.

About the speaker:
Dr. Gharib has had a longstanding interest in women's health. In 1995, Dr. Gharib founded the Women's Health Center at Brigham and Women's Hospital. In 2004, Dr. Gharib was appointed the first woman Chief of Medicine at Harvard University Health Services, where she currently oversees the care of the Havard University community, including students, faculty, staff, retirees and their dependents. Dr. Gharib is on faculty at Harvard Medical School, as well as on the editorial board of the Harvard Health Letter, and is a reviewer for the Journal of Women's Health.
